reports from mission field

I was first involved in a mission as a high school student and that was just a few months after receiving Jesus Christ as my personal savior. The mission was in a  village a bit far from ours and  three quarters of the journey was covered on foot and the other quarter in a vehicle . The older Christians did the preaching in the open air field while i interceded for them and got a chance to testify about my salvation once. That was the first time I saw demons being commanded to come out of and they obeyed . The man who was affected was delivered from the possession. I believe that was the point where my desire for involvement in mission work was born.

Many years later, i undertook a mission to a region in the western part of Kenya that had just come of a very devastating period of violence led by a local militia group. The violence had been so much such that it took the intervention of the army to quell it. The testimonies  that I  heard from the victims of the violence were chilling .

Thank God i was doing a Wellspring Conference and I was majoring on forgiveness .

God was working in the hearts of the participants in a big way . After every preaching session i would make an altar call  and many people would come forward for prayers.

At the close of the final session, a man came forward and requested to be allowed to speak to the congregation  . He was a member of the hosting church. He talked of how his neighbor had maliciously accused him of owning a gun illegally at the height of the violence and this had almost led to his death . After he was acquitted of the false charges ,he had vowed to one day get a gun a kill his accuser and  at the time of the conference he was rearing a bull which he intended to one day sell, buy a gun a kill his accuser but he had forgiven the accuser as a result of the teachings and he would sell the bull and use the money to serve God . The man is now a pastor.

God works in miraculous ways , His wonders to perform.
